WEBINAR ON PANELIZED CONSTRUCTION USING COLD-FORMED STEEL PREFABRICATED WALLS

ON-DEMAND PRESENTATION | CONTINUING EDUCATION: 1.5 PDHs

DESCRIPTION

Prefabrication of cold-formed steel (CFS) panels has gained significant ground in the construction market. This is due to several reasons, including speed of construction, better quality control, precoordination with other trades, and the opportunity to prefinish exterior walls. This webinar will provide insights into CFS panelized construction for load bearing wall projects and exterior wind-bearing wall projects. It will cover the engineering aspects of design such as lateral bracing, load distribution members and methods of attachment to the structure. The discussion will then lead into 3D BIM modeling of wall panels, performing clash detection tests, generating fabrication tickets and finish tickets (if required), and handling material takeoffs. Project examples will be presented and discussed.
