Pat is past chair of the CFSEI Executive Committee. He is currently the chair of the Marketing Committee and a member of the Expo Planning Committee. Pat is running for a second term. Patrick Hainault is the Co-Director of Structural Services / Cold-Formed Group Leader at raSmith in Brookfield, Wisconsin since 2018. His experience includes engineering design and staff management with raSmith and Matsen Ford Design Associates, Inc., where he was a principal and senior engineer for 21 years. His design expertise includes application of the latest technologies and design concepts to a wide variety of primary and secondary structures, including prefabricated systems. His engineering systems design experience includes structural steel, reinforced concrete, engineered masonry and wood in addition to specialty expertise cold-formed steel. He maintains a nationwide project portfolio with several of his past projects being nominated for and winning CFSEI Design Excellence Awards. He is a member of the SFIA Technical Committee and the AWCI Construction Technology Committee and was a voting member of the former AISI Committee on Specification (COS) and Committee on Framing Standards (COFS) including serving as Vice-Chair of the Framing Standards Sub-committee. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Wisconsin and several other states. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Marquette University. Jeffrey Kreinke, P.E., S.E.
Jeff has been serving on the Executive Committee since 2021. He is currently the chair of the Awards Committee and a member of the Marketing, Student Competition and Expo Planning Committees. Jeff is running for a second term. Jeff Kreinke has been employed at Excel Engineering, Inc. of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin as a Project Manager for the last 20 years. He is co-supervisor of a group of 46 engineers and designers specializing exclusively in cold-formed steel design. He has 27 years of structural engineering professional experience, with the last 15 years as a cold-formed steel (CFS) specialist. His CFS project experience ranges from full-scale stadium envelope enclosure to 10-story load-bearing buildings to blast-resistant framing design. Jeff is actively involved in the design of hundreds of cold-formed steel framed projects annually. He is also responsible for design standards development and code compliance for Excel Engineering’s CFS department. Jeff received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He is licensed as a Professional Engineer or Structural Engineer in 27 states. Fernando Sesma Fernando is a member of the CFSEI Executive Committee. He is currently a member of the Education Committee, and he is running for a second term. Fernando Sesma is Director of Technical Services for California Expanded Metal Products Company (CEMCO). He has over 40 years of experience in the areas of codes, design, construction and manufacturing of cold-formed steel framing members. Before joining CEMCO, Fernando gained a wide range of experience with other companies. He was staff engineer for ICBO Evaluation Services in Whittier, California, working as a product evaluator and in product criteria development. He was director of technical services for the South California Drywall Contractors Association (SCDCA) where he provided technical support and training to contractors and inspectors. He was senior technical representative for the Construction Steel Division of United States Gypsum Company, where he worked with steel, gypsum and plastering steel products. He has served as a member and in leadership roles with several professional organizations including the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) Committee on Framing Standards, and Committee on Specification (COS), American Standard of Testing Materials (ASTM) C11Vice-Chair, A05 and E05 Committee, Steel Framing Institute Assoc. Ex. Technical Committee Chair, Steel Stud Manufactures Association (SSMA) Technical Committee Chair, International Code Council (ICC), Cold-Formed Steel Engineers Institute (CFSEI formerly LGSEA), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) recently inducted to Life Member Forum, Construction Specification Institute (CSI), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and SEAOSC as presenter. Fernando received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. Sanooj Edalath, P.E, S.E. Sanooj Edalath is a Principal at 360 Engineering Group PLLC in Tulsa, OK. He has over 12 years experience designing cold-formed systems of varying sizes and complexities throughout the country. He leads the CFMF division at his firm. He has led hundreds of CFMF projects of varying sizes and complexities from small canopies to 9-story load bearing structures to envelope of skyscrapers. Sanooj also has extensive experience in non-engineering aspects of CFMF design like Panelization and BIM. Sanooj received his Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Cincinnati. He is licensed as a Professional Engineer in four states. Madeleine Grimmer, P.E. Madeleine is the cold-formed steel Business Specialist for Simpson Strong-Tie. She joined the company as a field engineer in North Carolina in 2017. Madeleine is currently based in Chicago, Illinois and covers the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions of the U.S. Prior to joining Simpson Strong-Tie, she worked as a structural engineer in the nuclear power industry specializing in seismic studies, blast analysis, nuclear containment design and structural forensics. Madeleine is a registered professional engineer in North Carolina. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering and master’s degree in Structural Engineering from the University of North Carolina - Charlotte. Karl L. Schroeder, P.E. Karl Schroeder is a Senior Project Engineer with Devco Engineering, Inc and has been with the company since 2006. He has designed the cold-formed steel scope on a wide variety of projects including colleges/universities, military and government facilities, hospitals, schools, airports, museums, stadiums, and various other commercial buildings. Some of his specialized experience includes blast design, Risk Category V seismic design, California HCAI and DSA projects, Alaskan arctic facilities, and sound isolation design. He typically works directly with the contractor, which requires extra attention to constructability and economic solutions for the framing systems. Soon after graduating from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Karl was given an opportunity with Devco Engineering to specialize in cold-formed steel framing. Karl earned his California PE licensure in 2009 with various other states following. From 2009-2016, Karl represented Devco Engineering as a member of the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) Committee on Specifications. In 2015, Karl opened a branch office of Devco Engineering in Bozeman, Montana where they continue to serve cold-formed steel focused projects.
