2016-17 INTERNATIONAL COLD-FORMED STEEL BUILDING STUDENT DESIGN COMPETITION The Cold-Formed Steel Engineers Institute announced the 2016-2017 International Cold-Formed Steel Building Student Design Competition.
2015 INTERNATIONAL STUDENT COMPETITION ON COLD-FORMED STEEL DESIGN
The 2015 Student Competition on Cold-Formed Steel Design received a total of 34 entries from eight universities in Brazil, Canada, China, India, Iran, Mexico and the United States. All entries were judged by a panel of industry professionals and ranked according to the design’s efficiency and constructability, as well as the quality of the essay submitted with the entry.
The winners were:
First Place – Shaole Yu, Tongji University, China
Second Place – Taylor Porter, University of Waterloo, Canada
Third Place – Wenying Zhang, Tongji University, China.
The judging panel carefully reviewed all entries and ranked them according to the design's efficiency and constructability as well as the quality of the essay.
The other top 10 students are as follows:
The top 3 students will receive individual cash awards in the amounts of $600, $400, $250 respectively.
The top 3 students will receive individual award plaques by mail.
All top 10 students will receive a one-year CFSEI student membership.
