The Task Group on Floor and Roof System design is a joint effort between the CFSEI Council and the AISI Committee on Framing Standards. The objective of the task group is to identify design issues relating to floor and roof system design that are not currently addressed at all or in part in a design standard. Once issues are identified a plan for resolution will be proposed which may include further clarification, research, or creation of a new design standard. In addition, the task group will also investigate the need for a more comprehensive design guide as an aid to support the language of the AISI design standards.
